San Miguel Writer’s Conference

Yippee! I just registered for the San Miguel Writers’ Conference in February. I had planned to skip it this year, with all that’s happening with the move….but I caved in to the great program and my love of San Miguel♥️

Mack will head to Seoul without me, and I’ll join him after the conference (and another hug on those sweet boys -I’m getting a little verklempt about leaving them…I try not to think about that part).

At the conference this year, I’m focusing on travel writing-so watch out! We have been on-line shopping for an apartment in Seoul (the city has 2million+ more people than NEW YORK CITY!) There’s a great live theater district there and lots of beaches on the Korean Peninsula (so I will be thoroughly entertained).

Jack and Stephanie gave us a Rosetta Stone course in Korean and TRAE and CORIE gave us a walking tour of Seoul street food. Since Mel’s friend Lana grew up in Seoul, we’ve had an inside track on what to expect since this all started. We are practically natives:)

Lots to do and learn and write about.

I plan to take off a day or two each week and explore the peninsula, finding the best spots to take Mack and our family and friends (sounds like a pretty good job, huh?) They have great public transportation-one of my favorite things. Of course, I can’t read a map, so things could get dicey.

We are looking at 3bedroom apartments, so set your calendars to visit Seoul in the next couple of years! You are all invited.
